Viola Fisher is the epitome of perfection.
She despises my one-night stands and mocks my less-than-classy habits.
She’s smart, beautiful, and too good to be true.
And I want her.

If she were anyone else, I’d have made my move years ago, but considering she’s my best friend’s little sister, she’s always been off-limits. Not to mention how much she loathes my very existence.

Hating me is her religion, but needing her is mine. Her sexy curves and filthy smart mouth make me want her even more, and I’m more determined than ever to change her mind.

I’ll prove I’m done playing games.
But until then, we’ll continue to play by her rules.
Viola Fisher may have won the battle, but the war isn’t over yet.

Checkmate, princess.

I did not think that it was possible for this book to amp up the sexiness from the first book, but holy crap this book was S-T-E-A-M-Y!  This was one book that I could not wait to get my hands on because of that cliffhanger from book one!  The second this book landed on my Kindle, I dropped everything so that I could read it.  And I have to say, it did not disappoint!  This is an amazing romance duet that will give readers all the feels.

I love the writing in this book just as much as the first!  It was witty, fast-paced and had me smiling ear to ear.  I think what really makes this book stand out from other contemporary romance is the banter between Viola and Travis.  Although their relationship has progressed to the next level, their banter does not let up for a second!  It is absolutely hilarious and made the book super fun.

This is War helped to develop the characters of Viola and Travis by detailing their complicated past, but This is Love focuses more on expanding their relationship together.  I loved seeing Travis’s sweeter side.  We got glimpses of it in book one, but it was taken to a whole new level in this one.  Viola continued to be awesome and amazing.  I absolutely love her character!  And all of us book lovers can totally relate to her love for Harry Potter!

The character development of Drew and Courtney was great!  I love that their characters were expanded on and I absolutely fell in love with Courtney.  She is like Viola’s character, but amped up even more.  She is spunky, sassy and confident.  And when I discovered that Courtney and Drew were going to get their own book…I literally squealed!  This was one of the best surprises at the end of a book…like ever!

I loved the ending to the story of Travis and Viola.  It made me feel fulfilled and everything was wrapped up perfectly, but of course I can’t wait to see more of them in the next book.  It left me with all the warm and fuzzy feelings.  I am one of those readers who love to have the characters go through hell, but essentially crave a happy ending and this book provided that.

I highly recommend this duet, especially now that it is getting expanded with a book about Drew and Courtney!  This was one of my most enjoyable reads this year and hope that the next book will make it onto my best of 2017 list!  Pick up This is War now before This is Love is released!

“Being with Travis felt different today.  It felt real and meaningful, as if our souls touched for the first time since we were kids.  For the first time in years, I saw the boy that I fell in love with.  And I hope he never leaves again.”
