Zelda Wilder is on the run, this time from the ruthless assassins who’ve decided she knows too much to live.

“Playboy Prince” MacCallum Lockwood Tate isn’t about to let the beautiful player who stole his heart get away—if only he could decide whether he wanted to save her or strangle her for her dangerous choices.

After tracking her down to a casino in St. Croix, Cal follows Zee back to Tortola where he intends to keep her safe. One problem: Zelda’s criminal liaisons are one step ahead of her.

Lives are threatened, and all of the players' skills are tested in this plot to capture a killer and save a princess.

Wow, I thought I loved the first book, The Player & The Prince, but this book blew me away!  The entire ‘feel’ of this duet switched from cute and fluffy to deep, intense emotional moments.  It was full of action and suspense, keeping me on the edge of my seat and flipping the pages.  I did not know what to expect when I picked up this duet, but it took my breath away.  I can’t wait to see what Tia Louise will write next!

The writing in this book was just as great as it was in book one.  It read easy and had a very addictive quality.  Louise created an emotional roll coaster ride.  I would feel happy one moment and then complete devastation after flipping the page.  One aspect that surprised me about this book was that it only switched between Zee’s and Cal’s POVs, making this book solitarily their story.   Not much focus was given to Ava’s and Rowen’s relationship, which was slightly disappointing.  However, I was so engrossed in the plot of this book, I would not want anything to be changed.  Hopefully there might be another book that allows readers to see how Ava’s and Rowen’s love progresses in the future.

The plot of this book blew my mind!  I honestly had NO idea where this book was going to head after I flipped the last page of The Player & The Prince, but I absolutely loved it.  I had a very hard time putting this book down because the stakes were raised and lives were at risk.  I don’t really want to go into detail on the plot because I think half the fun was going into this book completely blind and enjoying the crazy ride.

The romance was amazing!  The relationship between Zee and Cal progressed so much in this book and I really felt the chemistry between them.  I absolutely LOVE Cal and his funny one liners, as well as his protectiveness over Zee.  Cal slowly peeled away Zee’s hard shell, allowing her softer, sweeter side through.  Zee has got to be one of my all-time favorite female protagonists.  She is smart, caring and just an overall badass.

This duet was a fun and crazy ride!  I loved all the emotions Louise was able to evoke while I was reading this duet and I cannot wait to read more from her.  I HIGHLY recommend this duet and think this would be an amazing summer read.  I defiantly plan on picking up more from Tia Louise in the future and am hoping to pick up the third installment, Dirty Dealers, very soon.
