Book Review: Fallen Crest Home by Tijan

Fallen Crest Home by Tijan
Series: Fallen Crest High #6
Source: Audible Escape
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

It’s been years since my mother was in my life.
I healed.
I learned to accept love.
I lived.
That’s all done. She was away, and now she’s back.
I avoided her for a year and a half, but I couldn’t hide anymore.
Mason had an internship in Fallen Crest, so we headed back for the summer.
And when we got there—no one was prepared for what happened.

You would think that with a series this long it would become boring, but although it is a bit redundant, I still loved it! In this installment, the gang is back in Fallen Crest. New enemies are made, old enemies are still around, friendships try to be mended. It was pretty much seeing the overall plot come full circle and start closing loose ends in preparation for the final book.

I will say that this book is pretty much a lot of the same stuff. A new enemy is introduced and although he is a major douche bag, he still is not as bad as Sebastian in my opinion. Threats are made, fights are fought, but again, we have all read that before.

The think what I liked the most about this book was the growth in Samantha and Mason's relationship. With Logan and Taylor gone for the first half, we really get to focus on Sam and Mason. I will say that when Logan comes back into the mix, he feels a bit "off". He does not have as much snappy comebacks and he appears to be a watered down version of himself. I think that hurt the book because Logan is one of the biggest selling points to this series. He is the comic relief and this book needed more of that.

This book, just like the previous ones, is dripping with drama. Each page is completely saturated. If you are like me and love to vicariously live through book characters, then you will eat this up.

I did enjoy this book and enjoyed the drama and the cliffhanger ending, but I think most readers can agree that this series needs to come to an end. Thankfully I am reading this series wayyyyyyy late so I know that there is only one more book to go. I have the feeling that Tijan will wrap this series up perfectly and this will definitely be one of my favorite guilty pleasure reads.
